Fort Clinch Florida State Park- youth / large group site

This facility would be rated higher if it was maintained better and inspected prior to a new group coming in. The women's room was fairly nice with counters around the sink for storing toiletries, hot water, and electricity but there was standing water in the shower so I went without one that weekend :-(. The ocean was refreshing though and the large rocks on parts of the beach reminded me of the west coast where I am from originally :-). The fort was great and there are paved biking trails and good fishing. The kids will have a blast but book early and call first thing in the morning the first day booking for your date opens up. This will be a certain number of days away from your desired camping date. I saw fireflies for the first time in Florida here. The site is also well shaded. It really is worth it and I'd go back in a heart beat with body wipes this time just in case ;-).
